CLARK CTR01 / CTR02 series tugger trains with autonomous steering are an "all-in-one" solution, combining the CLARK CTX40-70 tow tractor (with 4 or 7 tons towing capacity) and specially designed CTR01 and CTR02 U-frame trailers. These systems allow U-frame trailers to be loaded from both sides without great effort, optimizing handling processes.

Models and their features:

  • CTR01 Single U-frame trailer: Designed for transporting Euro pallets. It can accommodate a mobile trolley on which Euro pallets (1200 x 800 mm) with a maximum load capacity of 1600 kg can be transported.

  • CTR02 Double U-frame trailer: Can carry both Euro pallets and larger loads. A sliding inner carrier allows flexible switching between a trolley with a size of 1600 x 1000 mm and a load capacity of up to 1600 kg, or two trolleys with Euro pallets, each with a load weight of 800 kg.

FEATURES:

  • High flexibility and autonomous steering: The heart of this modular tugger system is autonomous electric steering. It is not only maintenance-free but also offers the advantage of using sensor information measured directly at the axle. Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical steering information is not routed via the trailers, thus eliminating the need to account for it in the constructive design of the load modules. The modular system allows for free configurability with almost no design restrictions, taking into account individual customer requirements. Trailers can be easily exchanged via a standardized interface, which allows for combining even different trailers into one tugger train.

  • Ease of use: The operator can effortlessly push the smooth-running trolleys into the frame's lifting system from either side. The trolleys lock into place automatically. An additional advantage is the ability to walk through the frame to reach the other side of the tugger train.

  • Excellent directional stability and maneuverability: CLARK trailers are very slim and robust, making the tugger train extremely compact, and the operator has a good overview. However, the perfect directional stability of the tugger train deserves special attention. The electronically controlled wheels in the rear axle module ensure this: each trailer follows the other precisely in one lane, both on a straight track and during cornering. This means the tugger train requires only a small working area and can be used safely even in confined spaces.

    • For the CTR01 model, a 90° curve (with corner bevelling of 2 x 45° / 500 mm and without meeting traffic) requires an aisle width of only 2000 mm.

    • For the CTR02 model, under the same conditions, the minimum required aisle width for a 90° curve is 2500 mm.

    • For a 180° curve (U-turn), the CTR01 model requires 3570 mm, and the CTR02 model requires 4550 mm aisle width.

  • Automatic trolley locking system: CLARK trailers can be used with various trolleys for Euro pallets and other industrial pallets, even special sizes can be realized. All trolleys lock automatically after insertion and can therefore be used safely.

KEY ADVANTAGES:

  • Coupling system: In addition to the standard trailer coupling without remote release, a coupling option with remote release is available. This allows tow tractors to automatically hitch and unhitch other trailers.

  • Lifting and lowering by push button: The trailer's electric lifting system requires minimal maintenance, and its lifting height is 60 mm.

  • Trolleys in various versions: Powder-coated trolleys with two braked castors are available in various versions.
