The variable transmission has three different speed intervals. The anti-spin function is always active, ensuring good contact with the ground and full traction.
Rottne H8D is an ideal harvester for stand-operating thinning. Various working route system's options allow the harvester to handle strip road distances without manual intermediate zone felling.
The forestry machine works inside the stand, allowing it to be 6–7 meters away from trees, making it easier for the operator to decide which trees need thinning. Therefore the risk of damage to the standing forest is reduced considerably, in comparison if thinning were to be performed from a strip road 10–12 meters away.
Rottne H8D has a narrow and compact chassis with the swing arms system on all four wheels, which makes it responsive on all types of terrain. Inclines equaled out both lengthways and sideways. The decreased space requirement increases ground clearance on uneven and rocky terrain. The H8 harvester is equipable with a reversing camera, which gives a continuous view behind the operator. Thus, increasing safety and facilitating reversing.
• Variable transmission with anti-spin• Lower noise level• Improved hose routing• New oil cooling• New hose routing and new cylinders on Rottne EGS406• Stage V engine with a reversible fan• Electrically operated cab-tilt and engine hood• Larger fuel tank (one tank instead of two as on H8B)• Reinforced crane with new hose routing• Large water tank for the stump spray application
ROTTNE H8D has a powerful Stage V diesel engine that comfortably fulfills applicable emission requirements for current diesel engines.+ Improved fuel efficiency, power, and torque+ Low AdBlue consumption: only 2–3 % mixtureEquipped with John Deere engines, using cooled exhaust gas recirculation technology (EGR-system) and a variable-geometry turbocharger (VGT), giving high torque at low speed, a faster response when loaded, low fuel consumption, and low emission levels.
Rottne harvester cab features a modern design, where the operator sits in the center.+ Same cab for all harvesters+ Large windows provide excellent visibility+ Low noise level – quieter than in a new car+ Programmable buttons
The spacious and comfortable cab with its large windows gives the operator an excellent view of the entire working area. The ergonomically designed operator station has well-thought-out instrument panels to the side and in front of the operator’s seat, which has air suspension equipped with Airvent. The adjustable armrests feature integrated lever panels with function keys used regularly during felling and processing. Boxes and storage space for your daily work and effective ACC climate control give the operator a pleasant day at work.
Sound levels are low – in cabs, it is quieter than in a new car. Rottne cabs easily satisfy the ergonomic guidelines that apply to forestry machines.
The interior of the cab, distribution box, computer equipment, and control functions are identical, which is a significant advantage for the operators that switch between different Rottne's machine models.
Downtime can prove expensive for machine owners, and good service access can significantly reduce the time needed for servicing, repairs, and cleaning. The engine compartment is easily accessed by tilting the engine hood back and moving the oil tanks to the side. The distribution box with fuses and relays, computers are well-positioned for easy access.
EGS 406 is a well-tested harvester head used on Rottne H8. The harvester head has two steel feed rollers, or solid rubber rollers for sensitive wood, two pairs of moving delimbing knives, and a saw unit with automatic chain tension. The compact design and low weight make it ideal for use in all types of thinning stands.
The harvester head has a short frame, the possibility to control the upper and lower knives and wheels separately, high tractive force provide excellent conditions for processing bent and difficult hardwood. Sensors in the lower knives measure the diameter; separate free-running measuring wheel measures length. Colour marking, stump spray, and multitree handling are available as an option.
The LOGMAX 3000T is a thinning head best suited for long-reaching booms.
