AGI-AGE guide rings have been manufactured in thermoplastic material acetal resin, re-inforced glass fiber, and produced with strict tolerances that protect against heavy loads. Widely used for piston or rod application and combined with seals designed without their guide system, AGI and AGE replace the traditional metal guides easily overloaded and allow low deformation. From a mechanical point, plastic guides have a self-lubricating ability and are therefore highly more efficient in the presence of insufficient lubrification. Available in two versions, AGE for piston guides where the working surface is on the outer diameter and AGI for rod guides where the working surface is on the inner diameter.
